Items Needed: None

Prerequisites: Astrology 1

Astrology 2 builds straight off of Astrology 1. We dive right into chart building, and later on in the semester, we get into forecasting from specific areas of the chart. We will be working with our own natal charts, but you can build anyone's chart once you have down the basics of how to do it. Since this is an internet course, we will use as many online sources as possible. Today's astrologers use computer programs to create charts, but once upon a time, they used books and pencils to sketch it out on paper. Each astrologer should still know how to create charts by hand.
They also had to be good with math, to figure out the positions of many of the elements in the chart. We are going to bypass the math, because today's resources allows us to do this easily. Also, your first chart will be a challenge, so it is better off starting easy. If you are interested in the math behind astrology, it is always a good topic for independent study.

Items Needed:

  • Ability to print the chart

Prerequisites: None

Since their invention in Europe in the 14th century, playing cards have been used to predict the future. They can be thought upon as the precursor to tarot cards. One of the earliest types of fortune telling is cartomancy, which is still practiced today.

In this class students will read a regular deck of playing cards as a method of fortune-telling just as tarot cards are used.

Items Needed:

  • Regular Deck of Playing Cards

Prerequisites: Cartomancy 1

In Cartomancy one, you learned what Cartomancy 1 is, the difference between Tarot and Cartomancy. You also learned what each suit represents, along with reviewing a couple of spread layouts. Remember when looking at a card there can be many interruptions and this is where your intuition comes into play. In this class, you will be practicing reading a playing deck using many different spreads.

Items Needed:

  • Regular playing deck of cards

Prerequisites: None

Runes have been used to attract luck, provide protection, and work magic. We will teach you the meanings of the Runes, how to write in Runes, and some rune casting as well.  You will have three major projects in this course: Creating Your Own Set of Runes project, Rune Mats project, and Rune Charms project. Runes are used for your own divination, unlike Tarot cards which are used for other readings.

Items Needed:

  • Set of Runes

Prerequisites: Runes 1

Rune casting, as you’ve learned from Runes 1, is not fortune telling as rune casting works deeply with the subconscious. The entire universe is represented by all the runes inside your rune pouch. Your entire unconscious and conscious mind is focused on your question. This makes rune casting not just a random selection, but a choice or selection made by the subconscious.  In this class, we will take a closer look

Items Needed:

  • Set of Runes

Prerequisites: Runes 1 and Runes 2

The word rune means secret or something hidden. Runes are thought to be magical and were used by people to ward off evil and to divine the future. In the third and final class of runes, students will begin with a recap of prior classes and look at different rune spreads and more.

Open up your world by learning to read tarot.  Tarot card reading is one of the most popular forms of fortune telling.  A single deck of cards will give you insight to your past, present, and future.  Do you have questions about what your future holds, what lessons you should have learned from the past, or what should you focus on during your present?  Tarot is used as a guidance tool into your life.  Tarot reading is an intuitive reading of what your past was, the present is, and what the future may bring.  Begin your journey with tarot and learn the meaning of all the cards in the deck, explore the many tarot spreads, and learn how to relate to the seekers' questions.  Join tarot and open your eyes to the wonderful world of fortune telling.

In this course, we will work on connecting with our cards, the basic meanings of all 78, we will build on reading for ourselves, with a focus on reading for other people. The brunt of this course is sharing readings, learning as you read, and learning from others. I will spend much time during this semester reading with you.
The readings in this course will be very loosely guided. I will set some parameters and set you free into the world to experience tarot delight. You may use any of the divination chats to complete your readings. Participation in one divination chat is required, as is a small essay on the experience.
Some of the spreads and interpretations will be posted to the discussion forum. If you feel uncomfortable at any time about posting a response to the forum, then message me privately. I will not post a response to each of your assignments. I will read every single one of them and respond where I feel I can enrich the learning process.
